Pre-Doctoral Training in Primary Care |

This 5 year HRSA funded project is focused on development of the predoctoral family medicine. The primary goal is increasing rural based primary care exposure to medical students. This exposure is facilitated through the use of rural sites in connection to the central University department through the use of video telecommunication systems to support educational needs.
Grants for Residents Training in General Internal Medicine This HRSA funded project provides a resident opportunity in the Theiss Health Center. The Theiss Health Center is the premier FQHC within the UPMC system and provides clinical services the underserved of the Hill and Oakland neighborhoods of Pittsburgh.

Rural Health Research Project |
| |
| |
This project will be for medical students interested in rural health. It is a 2012 summer research fellowship focused on a rural setting and will be performed in collaboration with the Center for Rural Health Practice in Bradford. More information on their program is found here.
Tools for the research project will include:
$4000 stipend
$500 research costs
