2019 Residency Scholarship Day

The first annual UPMC Family Medicine Scholarship Day seeks to provide a venue for high-quality UPMC Family Medicine projects, as well as a format to share and disseminate scholarly ideas and activity.

Objectives:

  • Showcase the unique and outstanding scholarly projects being done across the UPMC Family Medicine programs
  • Increase awareness of educational and patient-based research being done across the field of family medicine
  • Broaden medical students’ perspective of the scope of family medicine
  • Promote collaboration and unity among the UPMC Family Medicine programs
  • Enhance the quality and quantity of scholarly activity being done by the UPMC Family Medicine programs
  • Allow residents and faculty to more easily meet scholarly activity requirements

Submissions:

  • Podium (limited to 10) or Poster presentations
  • $250 Amazon gift card for top podium presentation
  • $100 Amazon gift card for top poster
  • Submissions due:  March 8, 2019

    • 300 word limit excluding the project title
    • PDF document (.pdf)
    • Calibri 11-point font
    • Single spaced
    • No header of footer

  • Title at the top of the page bolded and underlined
  • Desired Forum (Poster or Podium)
  • Background/Rationale
  • Problem or Question (PICO format when applicable)
  • Method used to answer the question or solve the problem
