Evette Yassa MD MSc

Dr. Yassa hails from Canada and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Philosophy at Queen’s University, followed by a Master of Science at McGill University where she used CRISPR to affect liver cancer cell growth. After obtaining her medical degree from St. George’s University with a distinction in Scholarly Activity, she completed her Family Medicine residency at Temple University Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia where she served as chief resident, designed a Career Development Curriculum and chaired the wellness committee. She graduated with awards in Clinical Excellence and Resident Teaching from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She is passionate about community engagement, and practices full spectrum Family Medicine at the Matilda Theiss Health Center.
