She attended West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed her residency at UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine Residency and served as Co-Chief in her final year. During her residency, she participated in the Global Health Track where she implemented the Community Oriented Primary Care Model to develop a sustainable intervention to address depression in rural Honduras. After residency, as a full-time faculty, she  completed Fellowship Training in the UPMC St. Margaret’s Faculty Development Fellowship in Pittsburgh, PA.
